I purchased the full set of pliers. I had been using cheap hobby store pliers with springs for a couple of years and after eventual frustration with performance, and hand strain, I decided it was time to splurge on an upgrade. I was glad I did, what a difference! In spite of never having used pliers without springs, I adapted easily. I can really feel my work beneath these pliers and no longer accidentally smoosh my work by applying too much pressure. They also have great tooth and my work doesn't easily slide out of them, yet they also don't scratch it. Have worked with them for an entire afternoon with no hand fatigue (or blisters from nylon coverings). Excellent quality and if they made them in other types I would also gladly purchase them.
