A High-Limit Pressure Control Switch regulates heat and pressure automatically. It's more reliable than a thermostat and is a safety requirement mandated by ASME CSD-1. An Operating Pressure Control Switch allows the user to adjust output pressure as desired. An automatic cutoff shuts the unit down if the water level drops below the heating element. The glass sight gauge is easily accessible.

Gemstone Cleaning
Using steam or an ultrasonic cleaner depends primarily on the gemstone being cleaned. Generally speaking, organic materials (bone, coral, pearls, etc.) cannot take ultrasonic cleaning. (That also means you should not immerse your hands or fingers in an ultrasonic cleaner while it's running.) You may want to print out the chart below and hang it near your cleaning area for instant reference.
